Antrim coast Thursday evening

People: Wife and myself

Duration: evening

Tide: up

Weather: calm

Bait: lures / mackerel

Rigs: pulley

Results: 30 mackerel 1 dog

we decided to get out in the rain to see if there was any mackerel round the Antrim coast and I also took another rod to see if the flatties and dogs were still about after one a chuck beginning of the week, and john with a 3lb plaice.
There was only one dog and no tap tap tapping like before but wife and I ended up with 30 odd mackerel and Charlotte had the joy of filleting them because you was in a strop and didn't want to fish. Lol

nice one, nice to see the mack in at the shore.
2011 species (16) - Flounder, Coalies, Pollock, sand eel, Wrasse, Sea Trout, dogfish, thornback ray, Whiting, Red Gurnard, Codling, Grey gurnard, pouting, Mackeral, Turbot, Plaice

targets for 2011 - Bass, sea trout and big cod! - Scratch one! Sea Trout Down!
