Weather:gorgeous,,,sea like galss

Baitlug,limpets

Rigs:feathers,spinners,boom rigs

Results:plenty of small pollock and wrasse

Report:havent been gettin any fishing in lately and to be quiet honest wasnt bothered even goin out, between weed on the beach one day to the sea being flat calm with no surf my summer fishing was looking slim,,,,and was supposed to go on the boat yesterday to find that the wind had gone east on wednesday evening and was gonna stay there for a bit so im not the biggest easterly wind lover  .i was gettin annoyed and frustrated more than anything,,,,rock marks are something i always wanted to do and today for the first time i done it,,,,i have got a few macks of the headlands before but never really classed it as fishing a rock mark,,,,we didnt bring any major gear with us,,,i brought a tiny 8 ft red wolf rod and a reel i wasnt sure was going to last,,,,,brought some spinners, feathers, jelly worms etc and my rucksack which i could hardly feel on my back when walking through the fields..john had similar gear to me,,,got to a cracking area we had both discovered to find shoals of mack breaking the surface of the glassy type water,,,,the were in patches,,,maybe a few hundered in each,,and to make things worse they passed by our ledge about 7-8 foot away from us and you could see their mouths opening up when if it was like they were coming up for air,,,amazing,,never got a pic as i was trying to get my gear ready in a hurry,,,,they swam left passed us,,,they turned around and came back passed us and do it all over again,,,never seen them so close like this before,,,if i had a shrimp net with the handle i could of got them or that net you coil up and throw would of got them too,,,,anyway we cast beyond them,,left of them,,,right of them ,,we came through them with every rig we had and couldnt even tempt them to our delicious rigs,,,vexing or what,,ah we gave up and just had to deal with the pain of them taking the pisx out of us as they swam by,anyway,,,we got spinners out and spinned away and we both got a few medium sized pollock along with small and very small, with having limpets all around us i couldt resist these wrasses so made up a boom rig and put it down and the next thing bang and again and again and im thinking to myself what have i been missing not being able to get on to the beach with that horrible weed but on the other hand you cant fish these ledges every day,,,anyway we had a great small session and we are planning on going rotten bottom next time aswell,,,nice to get back fishing and hope its the start of a good un from now till winter

oh ya them wrasse give some fight on a dinky winky rod

Well done Brian and John. You can't beat the wrasse on light gear when it comes to getting a good old scrap, brilliant fighters. Sounds like you enjoyed yourselves. Good report and pictures.
