beal na boine
People:me and mate
Duration:1000...1600
Tide:incoming
Weather:sunny showery
Bait:mack and razor
Rigs:2 hook paternoster
Results:2 bass
Report:having fished the southside all summer(if thats what you call it) and not much to show for it,we decided to give the northside a bash..we headed out at low water to the aleria and put baits out and did a bit of spinning...we were here for about an hour and a half and nothing doing so decided to move back in a bit..our next spot fared no better and now the weed was starting to roll in on the tide so after another hour and half we stopped for lunch..after lunch we headed back out toward the mouth where the weed seemed to be easing off ..3rd spot, first cast only hit the water and wallop, got into a nice fish ..no scales with us but it was my biggest bass this year by a long shot...quick photo and off he went..5 min later james rod got a decent bite but he lost it,2min later he got hit again and this time he got him..in came his first bass ever.and this one was for the pot, neither of us got a touch on the spinning rods and then only one more missed bite on the bait so we decided to call it a day just on full tide.
