Smoothie criminals!!!!!!

Duration:10pm-3.30am r 4

Tide:LOVELY

Weather:calm

Bait:peeler and rag

Rigs:pullys and pennels

Results:dab, doggies, smoothie pups, and a big un!!!!!!




Report:
Well it was a long week of anxiously waiting to get up to Wicklow for a bit of smooth-hound fishin. After all the planning we packed the car with the tents the Peeler and rag were plentyful and off we ventured. We got to the mark in kilgorman and what a beach it is. Miles upon miles long sand galore and not much weed in sight. First things first up with the tents after a 2 round trip from the car with all the gear. Tripods up and lines out. We all fished 2 rods each mine with 3/0pully pennels the sea was calm enough not much surf at all. Watching the rods like a hawk until i got my first little nibble a little dab. After that the boys pulled in a few doggies and by 12.30am there a few smooth hound pups around the aswell.
Anyway we fished on for a little longer and i was still waiting for that big thump! Not much after there it was BANG the rod went and i was up like blood hound after the smooth hound ha ha,"BOYS!" ,"I'M ON"!!!!!!!! Grabbed my rod and set that hook. There was some pullin power on the smoothie she started takin line so i tightened the tension my 525 mag and didnt she pull her in WHAT A BEUTY head lights glearin off her beedy eyes there she was my firts smooth hound!!!
