Results:4 Ballan wrasse
Report:
Yesterday was a nice sunny day calm day here in the Kingdom, Ideal for a spot of wrasse fishing. so off to a local mark, light 12ft carp rod, simple single hook, no need to worry about bait, as it is easy to find crabs in the rock pools and there are loads of limpet around. Simple fishing and highly rewarding. The fight from wrasse on light tackle is great..Anyone who has never caught a wrasse should put it on their wish list!!! 4 fish caught, biggest about 2.5lbs, all returned alive..

simplistic fishing at it's best man. i get excited every year waiting for them to return to our shores. pound for pound they have to be one of the best fighting fish readily available to us to target from the shore
if only they grew to about 20lb
