Leader knot when fishing braid?
can anybody suggest a knot to tie 50-100 lb braid to a shock leader. Ive been fishing braid straight through scratching off the beach when there's lots of weed and when a monster cast isnt required, but lately ive found it invaluable for fishing real dirt. However, when a big chuck is required its hard on the finger and when a friend has to handline a big fish up, its proper hard on his hands. On holiday recently boat angling, all the supplied gear had leader attached to enable easier landing of fish but while impressed by the knot i hadnt the brains to ask the skipper how he tied it.
