Greystones 24/07

#1 Post by Richie07 »

People: Me

Duration: 5.00 am to 9.30 am

Tide: High around 6.30 am

Weather: Nice, calm, dull, not much wind.

Bait: Lure

Rigs:

Results: 3 Bass, best 5lb, 2 schoolies. 1 seatrout @ 4lb. 1 coalie.

Report:
Nice session, got 2 bass on maria chase and 1 on a green kilty, was surprised to get the seatrout, it took a maria chase very close, maybe 5 feet from the shore, put up a great scrap, only my second ever seatrout. All catch and release.

Cheers, I have photos but Im having trouble uploading them onto this site, it was them same for my last report so I gave up. I actually put a photo on facebook on the Bassfishing society page last night of my previous trip, I might put up the seatrout on that too.

Yep, me too always hearing recent reports of all these supposedly great Bass being caught on South Beach at Ballgannon. No pics, little specifics; beginning to wonder about fishing stories. Spend some time there in July but nothing but weed!!

Elusive or fishy stories; I'm keeping an open mind. :?

Well, I gave you enough information and its up to yourself to get out and have a go, no point complaining about weed, we all have those days, don't let it put you off just make a note for the next time, state of tide, wind condition, time of day, condition of sea, water clarity etc, I spend alot of time fishing that area, sometimes it good and sometimes its not, thats fishing.
