Was in the supermarket the other day, and they had "black" king prawns on offer, (Late in the day , I think they were trying to get rid of them) Are they any use as bait ?

they sure are mate,,,,flats love them and bass,,,probably any hungry fish would take them,,,,i think it was last months tsf magazine had a section on supermarket baits and there uses

I tryed using prawns before couldnt keep them on the hook they seamed too soft how do you hook yours??
i know for salmon in the rivers they use a shrimp pin a a trebel hook and float the prawn in its shell
