Culdaff Beach

Duration: 2hrs

Tide:ebbing

Weather:fine

Bait:sandeel

Rigs:1 hook flowing trace of light lead.

Results:3 small Sea trout, 1 fluke and the biggest mackerel I've ever caught

Where abouts on the beach were you fishing? And what part of the ebb-start/middle/end?

I fished from about 1hr after high tide.

just to the left of the main car park. about 100 yards from the sloping entrance from the car park.
Sinking Fast.

Thanks for the info. Last time I fished it last year the only thing showing was a small plaice.

ever many big fish taken off it?all we seemed to get last time we were at was small flounder and turbot.

What other species would you hope to get of this beach

You can get some decent flounder, I saw one landed of 3lb but as you all know this is the exception not the rule.
I've had bass,collies,pollack, plaice, turbot some reasonable sea trout(2.5lb), pouting, gurnard and of course the doggies.
