Youghal park & Helvic Head

#1 Post by Ahab3 »

Me n the lad were fishing again today. 8:30 at the Park in Youghal. Stayed for 2 hours hoping for mackerel. No bites at all but a safe spot to bring the lad. Moved to Helvic Head for 2 hours. A railed pier on the left. Nice clear water. No macks however. Was told that pollock are to be had off the right pier as there is plenty of kelp there. Pier wall too high to be safe for the lad but others might be interested. Helvic Head sure is a scenic spot.
