WATERFOOT PIER FRIDAY NIGHT
PAUL AND MY SELF
8.30PM TILL 1.10AM
LOW TO HIGH
COLD AND VERY LIGHT DRIZZLE
MACK RAG & SQUID
PENNEL and BOOM RIG
PAUL 3 CRABS AND A DOG FISH
ME 1 CRAB & 2 SMALL FLOUNDER
Started fishing at about 8.30pm on a crowed pier and while it was still bright all we did was feed the crabs, darkness arriving brought a chilly breeze and slight drizzle and the breeze was making it hard to tell weither you had a bite or not. The first flounder was me deciding time to change bait and supprised to find a very small flounder. The next flounder i spotted the bite a bit bigger than the first a also had the rig covered in a slimey green weed that smelt rotten.
Paul was also starting to get covered in the slime but now was catching a crab with every cast, the cold started to get to us so after 1 pm with no futher detectable bites we packed up and paul as he reeled in felt a pull and found our only doggie of the night.
Other people around us seemed to have better luck and i seen a few doggies been caught but not as many as last year.
Beside us was a gentleman with his 2 sons he left part of his tri-pod behind i have it and if he drops me an e-mail i will post it on

Re: Waterfoot Pier 3rd June
Its not hard to crowd that pier mate. Had a similar night to you a few months ago, caught a couple of small fish, but at least beat the blank. Ive read plenty of good reports about waterfoot in the past, suppose its a matter of being there at the right time.
