kilmore in the new off da hook
off da hook
Crew:tony fella and me
Duration:7.30 am till 6 pm
Tide:dropping to full
Weather:cool start but windy cleared off to be savage evening
Bait:rag,crab.sandeel.razor
Rigs:new ones and everything else
Results:good days fishing 14 species ,mac,coalie,pollock ,cod,launce.doggies.dab.plaice .thornback,ballon wrasse .cuckoo wrasse pouting.weaverfish,ling started out this morning in the water for 7.15 am first day in new boat all loaded up we started of trying out the engine ran sweet as a nut . fished the first mark had a few launce and dabs plenty of them moved around a lot trying out a few things picking up some decent cod and coalfish to 4 lb and a few macs put them in livewell the lasted all day in there new mark worked out great plaice ,dabs, and thornback ray good show of them. want to try a new mark for pollock tony was in straight away fish of 7 lb steady fishing with coalies being caught on the drop i had a few new rigs to try again all went well. we had pollock over 10 lbs and plenty of them . we moved back in for ray we had a few to 6 lb along with a bucket of dogs time was pushing on tony was starting to feel the lack of sleep the night before finished up for 6 few new marked added and a good days fishing was over we did get a quick look at a whale but it did not want to play boat engine ran well happy with the turn of speed and deck space roll on the summer

jayus willie thats a beast of a boat you'l have to grow the hair long again to let the wind blow through it
i take it a few trips out to the wrecks is on the cards you will be out there in warp time.great way to christen her with a species hunt. hope she brings you loads of luck and safe fishing. well done on yesterdays trip have to hand it to you willy you work hard at your hobby.

have to say willy fab boat !! just got a shetlin 565 18' 50hp jonson
hitting the sea very soon
just need to get the 50 hp servied and away we go .. and hows kilmore at this time going fishing
sunday ? 10 lads will be hitting the sea 1600h sharp dont no the size of the boat yet but hopeing for good weather and most of all good fishing
