I have had two enquiries from anglers resident in the UK looking to join Kerry Sac. Do you have to be resident in the 32 counties to be eligable from membership of an IFSA Club?
Thanks.

Hi John,
Your provincial secretary should be able to deal with all of your queries, if not he should be able to get an answer for you.
Cheers,
Eric

Hi John,
The club needs to be in the 32 counties, but the anglers do not.
All the best,
Kevin

There’s not a problem with them becoming members
There may be a problem if they qualified for an Irish team
The ifsa do not seem to have any defined ruling on it

Never thought of that Donal, but then again, if you fish your club comps and get through the fish off, who cares.
It would be a funny one if it ever happened that way.

Re: IFSA Membership - outside of the 32 counties?
As above, my understanding is that there is no problem with having members who reside in other countries.
Also, cant see any reason why currently the could not qualify for an Irish team.
In addition but perhaps not relevant, sure many anglers are members of a club that is affiliatted within a province in which they do not live themselves.
