People:myself, wank wank, rub, adrain

Duration:7 15-11.30 pm

Tide:high tide 11.30 tide size 3.3

Weather:fine night calm sea although got bit blustery around 10ish

Bait:squid mackeral

Rigs:patonastor

Results:myself-2 doggies, wank wank-1 rock cod, adrain 1 doggie, rub 1 doggie

Report:Headed down the coast and ended up in cushendall, we fished the rocks there just past the judges houses, wank wank got his rock cod there adrain got his doggie and rub got his there also, they guys wernt using any beads etc just hook and bait, we then left there because the place was hiving with rats, the amount of rubbish beer cans etc was a disgrace, so we went round to the we jetty, none of the boys caught any there although there was plenty of bites, to honest i was paniking as id blanked on ballygalley on sunday, but i was pretty releived to catch at last nice we well marked dog fish, got nothing else to my last cast, using no beads etc i managed to touch for one right at the end, to be honest i was over the moon, the boys wernt to impressed at me pulling one in in last cast but sure thats fishing! in all we had a great laugh and good nites banter and being able to drive the car on the jetty was a plus!

just out of interest danny, what sized hooks were you all using man? i tend to find if we keep getting bites we just can't seem to hook into it's best to drop down a couple of sizes. we normally tie all our rigs with size 1's. the smallest we'd go would be a 4. but it can turn a session around on the catch count. added to that you'll still get decent fish in on smaller hooks. we've had 3lb wrasse, 4lb thornies and 3lb bass all on size 4's  :P :P good luck man

Al! i use 4/0, for everything mate except congers and thornies i use a size 5/0, i find it stops hooking the smaller fish mate, but them other boys are using 2/0's but somtimes they catch fish which are not much bigger that a ciggerette, which usualy starts murder over the debate "do they count" lol gona head up fahan on sunday, we fished it a few weeks ago got very little, have yous been out much urselfs mate?

anyway, decent report. good effort on the rock cod wank wank

jees i hate people leavin feckin rubbish layin around after them!!!  ive picked enough of it up in the past around those rocks! nothing worse

if it has got a set of gills, it counts lol :D
hardly out at all man. my father is going through chemotherapy at the moment, so i'm back at the parents place looking after them both. so we have only got out about 4 times in the past month. but fingers crossed he'll be back on the mend and done with the treatment come autumn and we can get back to our normal fishing routine. we'd normally be out 3 times a week instead of 4 times a month   . but family comes first man :)
