Plenty of fish in Cork

#1 Post by Ashley Hayden »

Met up with a friend on a well known finger of sedimentary rock in West Cork. Weather was awful but with a little dogged determination we scored.

Given the sea conditions most of our usual haunts were out of bounds but we still managed eight species to include mackerel, launce, pollack to 5.lbs, flounder to 1.5lbs, codling to 2.5 lbs, dab to 1.0 lb, a specimen 5.lb 4.oz mullet, and dogfish.

Clean and rough, expanded posts are on the site. We had good pollack fishing as well but no wrasse it was too dangerous for fishing.
