Duration:18:30 to 21:45

Tide:20:51 4.7m

Weather:strong west wind and showers

Bait:lug,sandeel,squid,feathers

Rigs:2 hook flapper,feathers

Results:10 fish




Report:with the strong winds and heavy rain I didn't think I would get out but the rain cleared around 17:30 so I headed to spiddal
i set up one rod in close and tried the feathers on the other rod and landed a fish on the first cast

Grand little session. Well done. The pollack seem to be taking over from the coalies now at this stage. Signs of summer pushing in.
Species 2014: whiting, coalie, pouting, codling, pollack, ballan wrasse, dab, poor cod, mackerel, grey gurnard, conger, ling, cuckoo wrasse, launce, common skate, bass, scad, garfish, blue shark

nice going gerry... do you remember the old days in spiddal when you could get cod to 5or6 pound even plaice and all sorts of species.............. heard of some lads catching mack off the back side of the pier last week......

well done ger nice way to pass a few hours also thanks for the info the other day it was a good days fishing hope to see you in a couple of weeks if the weather is ok lets hope the ray show again

thanks brian,it was great not to see a dog for one session,still I don't mind them they have saved me a lot of blanks

thanks alan,its a long while since i seen a good fish caught there,the brother had a few mackerel from a rock mark near the end of your road a week ago

thanks brian,hopefully it will settles down soon,it has been hard to fish a lot of marks on the west coast the last few weeks
