Report: Been fishing this spot for a good few trips with little success but finally got a decent huss off it. Caught first cast on the back shore of the island on a pulley pennel medium sandeel

I would love you to be right mate, as im sick of headin north coast , travel time and expense of fuel all adds up and when you blank...but thats fishin'

I've had a couple here on the fly this year nobuzz but not none on the sandeel yet. It's a movement/resistance thing I recon.

Yeah strangford's tricky to fish right I guess. Its because each mark is totally different at each state of the tide/year. Its a patience thing.... annoyingly

I've had lots of smallish trout on the fly in Strangford but nothing of any size. I'm told that a freelined or float fished sandeel is the way to pick up the bigger fish.
Keep up the good work.
