Treble Hook Recommendations

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Treble Hook Recommendations

#1 Post by ATF »

Have bought some lures recently, only the hooks and split rings do not look of great quality - quite a few of the hooks are pretty blunt (finger nail test)
Can anyone recommend some decent quality trebles and split rings please.

Use owner trebles myself, not the cheapest but very sharp and strong.

have seen a load of owners bent out over the last week or two not on my lures now........and thats not dogging fish on tight drags......i had a new x140 there fished it last week for the first time had about a dozen fish on it nothing big 6lb the biggest 2 hooks bent out...now i realise that this can be caused while on hooking fish but the decoys are a lot stronger and have not had this happen with them over a whole season......
