portmarnock fri 13th/ sat 14th

#1 Post by sea serpant »

People: me + brother + mate

Duration:10pm fri - 8am sat
Tide:going out

Weather:windy but dry

Bait: crab rag squid

Rigs:pulleys + flappers

Results: disappointing

Report: was planning on heading out for hounds friday evening and after not being out in a few months I was eagerly anticipating wetting a line.... With tackle and bait in hand we got into the car and disaster struck the clutch had gone.... With a true fishermans heart and the hounds basically talking to me in my ear we organised a lift from my mates g.f (normally can't stand her but couldn't fault her here) and a promise to be picked up the next morning. We put baits out around eleven and fished a dropping tide all night without our a sign of a hound, the early morning flood produced two fat school bass(returned) a 3 beard rocking and a flounder not what I was looking for but there's always next time... It was nice to get out and ill be hitting the beaches again soon hopefully with more luck ...

Nice to get a few bass before the ban, shame the hounds didnt show for you.

The other spot is more reliable, but you couldnt of fished it for that lenght of time anyway.

Bad luck on the clutch, if you need the number for a good (and cheap :D ) mechanic drop me a pm
