At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Brian I have the Salt one and more recently bought the Ian Golds small Rod Carrier - see below. You can get two Rods (Beach casters) plus cases and a shelter in the main compartment. The Tripod straps to the side - straps included. It is a perfect size and not too bulky. Difference is that it does not zip all the way to the top of the rods like the Salt one. See below.

The Ian golds ones are the best there are full stop. Rods will fall out if you hold it upside down no other way, and exactly the same as anything with an open end.

i prefer the salt one, have a penn affinity hold all which was never used but if i broke the salt one id buy it again instead of using the penn.

usually its the quiver version (no side openin nor zip's) that's open top...but most have draw string or velcro to close the top and work well (standard size 1.4m just about ok for 5foot section...with 'wee' bit stickin out!) the bigger 1.7, 1.9 and 2.2m most have size zip's and closed tops...hope this helps...
