old bike saves the day
Tried laytown, expecting the amazon rain forrest to be washed up,but was pleasently surprised very little ,mostly the bladder wrack type so easly cleared, result was 5 flounder biggest about 25cm smallest about 15,conditions were perfect for bass but they were a no show, peelers came in same way they went out ,flounders took plain rag, tried rag and squid too for the bass, anyway i lost my bait needle and couldnt get near a tackle shop so i took a spoke from old bike put rounded tip on it then cut 1cm of the blue holder that we never lose pushed it on other end, worked ok,good to see the rod tip rattle again cant wait to get out again

Re: old bike saves the day
You were indeed really lucky. I was on the beach that day. Parked my bike, went for a walk, guess what ? When I came back, someone had robbed the spokes out of my wheel. You just can't leave anything unattended these days.

I don't fish to catch fish. I just like using the gear.
