Dublin Smuts

#1 Post by dfella25 »

People:Only me

Duration:7 till 10pm

Tide:HT 9ish

Weather:Nice and flat calm

Bait:Crab

Rigs:Pulley

Results:7 Smooth Hounds

Report:After answering a question in the Q&A section I got a bee in my bonnet an wandered off in search of some last minute crabs. Thankfully a nice gentleman obliged me with a handful and I set off.

Up until dusk no action at all and hunger was starting to win over an early exit from the beach. As soon as the sun set the rod started hoping. The first ones were the biggest, all female and the best was in or around 6lb. Then the last two caught were males and much smaller. I was glad I had stuck it out!

Great to see them return and a sure sign that the summer is here.
