States of the tide??

#1 Post by Thats_pollocks! »

Just wondering about how the tide works, when the tide is at low water, on average how long will it take to go to high tide and how long will the high tide stay for??

it takes a tide roughly 6 hours to travel from high to low, then around an hour of slack water at low tide, then another 6 hours flood tide back to high tide, then another hour of slack high water, this happens twice a day, and high tide is around an hour later each day.....
