Nice way to christen a new rod.

#1 Post by Trojan »

People.Myself and Dave

Duration.4 hours

Tide?

Weather.Mild

Bait.Crab,Lug,Rag

Rigs.Pennells,flappers

Results.Bass,codling,dogs.

Met dave down the mark that was kindly given to me by a very seasoned friend :) .We both fished two rods each i was hoping my new source would get a run out and she sure did!Plenty of action on every second cast with dogs and what i thought might have been a smaller huss??(picture below)I missed two good bites on the rod in close and i noticed the bate had gone up over the eye a bit not from sloppy presentation but from force so i descided to use a pennell in close as well just to see if the top hook would do the trick and it did i was in the middle of talking to the girlfriend and i noticed a slack line, with that came a frantic hang up with no goodbyes as i reeled in a nice 40cm bass on the beach.More dogs followed and then i had a nice little tussle with a descent size codling great to get out on such a lovely day and a few nice fish as a bonus.
