spent all day sunday from 8 am to 5 pm lots off dogs and starfish after starfish but good to be out

the starfish seem to be very prolific there for some reason

It could be down to all the mussel's/mussel farms in the aria. Starfish are the main predator along with green crabs on mussel farms. You get huge concentrations of starfish on the mussel beds along the North coast, they cause huge mortalities to the farms.
