Okuma magda 30d ???

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Okuma magda 30d ???

#1 Post by dac69696969 »

Hi.
Has anybody any opinions/experience of these reels? Thinking of getting one for general/light boat work but none of my mates have ever tried them before.Im just looking for a reel that can handle maybe a half decent pollock in over 100ft of water.Cheers lads. Im a relative amateur to boat angling  so all opinions or suggestions are greatly welcome.
Ps I can buy this reel for 40 euro

Cheap and problem nasty.
Line counters serve no purpose other than to keep your mind occupied while you are catching no fish.

Spend a bit extra and buy in the Penn 535 or a diawa slosh-30 class
You could pick up a good second hand one cheap

Some here, a bit more then you might spend but they will outlive a lot of other reels
