Re: kilmore sat any tips
Not too sure on the choices of rigs as everyone have their own favourite for fishing Kilmore.
The Achill Raider (green) loaded with crab is working A1 for me at the moment for cod.
Ling prefer mackerel or herring fishing 2’-3’ of the bottom on a 2’ flowing rig.
Other species will be pollack, coalfish and the wrasses.
Baits to bring would be crab, mackerel and some rag to target the wrasse and pollack. Jelly worms should also work for the pollack
If nothing else just go out and enjoy the day
Remember, sometimes the best fish you caught is often the one that got away

Baited hok eye with strips of mac or baited feathers for cod and pollock
Slowly retrieving shads for pollock
Maybe some rag for a few wrasse.
It's very early in the season for the boats but with the good weather it should be good.
Enjoy.

Re: kilmore sat any tips
just ask paul what he is useing
bet he tells you to bait up your rigs with mackral strips as these always give results in kilmore. i have also had good codling on amber squid rigs baited .these out fished all the other rigs been used on board on 3 occaisions lifting codling in 2 and 3s each time.i normally stop in wexford town and buy 40 rag as there is usually 7 of us, we each buy a different bait to try. ie one buys sand eel ,another squid, and frozen macks in case you dont hit anyon the way out.we always try to go on the sandbanks for the last couple of hours to try for a few rays and flats but let paul knw what your targeting and he will put you on it. he in my opinion is the best skipper down there. hope to see a good report. have a great day
