Yeah I know a spot near dingle where we stopped counting how many bass we caught. If you are there at the right time and so are the fish then no bother. It's like catching macks though at that stage I found.
Well done, sounds like a non stop session, I thought I'd done pretty well on a Leinster beach last Autumn catching and returning 14 schoolies over a weekend, then a local told me he'd rerturned 35 odd fish in one day the previous week. A friend of mine and his mate returned over 50 in one session the next weekend. The surprising thing was that out of all 100 or so of those fish there wasnt one over 42cm, about 1lb 14oz? Would that be the right weight of a 42 cm bass?
Edit, sorry bout the double posting, comp slow and I didnt think Id hit submit. Heres a question Ive been wanting to ask, do you measure a bass to the inside of the V of the tail? Thats how I was measuring them, as thats how a trout is measured. An angler I met on the beach said to measure them out to the points of the tail, ie my 38cm undersized fish was a 40cm 'keeper' when measured his way?

This isn't an angling report - it's a link to an external site. No harm in linking, but at least have the decency to put up a proper SAI report whilst you're at it. Some users can't follow links to blogs because of their work policy doesn't allow it. Plus, it smacks of using SAI as an advertising vehicle for their own products.
tommy e, sort it out before I start locking, deleting and banning.
I find his reports are very good and normally with pictures of Bass and Sea Trout. I wish i could have a session like this one, there was a certain well know member on this forum who said he was catching 50 or more Bass in a session he got some stick from a few people here and in the end they had to eat their humble pie, I think the same will apply here. Well done Tommy great session keep them coming.
