mackeral reports for 2011

hi all... it may seem a bit early for this but i thought i would share it with ye... i was talking to kevin from the madagaine mara spiddal over the last couple of weeks... and he is reporting some good catches of mackeral in galwaybay... he also told me that he was getting mackeral quite near the north shore in galway.. plus there seems to be a good lot a sand ell around at the moment....... so maybe it might be an early mackeral season..... feel free to post any reports for the mackeral lads.... on where and way they arw caught........ tight lines.......

Hey lucky, I spoke to Colin Barnes this morning,he is based in West Cork. He was out in the week and met plenty of mackerel inshore, so it is looking good.

We were catching mackeral between the forts at the mouth of Cork Harbour last weekend.
