Ballycastle Beach 23rd March 11

#1 Post by polmac »

People: me

Duration: 7pm - 9pm

Tide: filling to high tide at 9

Weather: nice, but started to cool as it got late

Bait: Mackeral and squid

Rigs: Varied

Results:
one small Flounder and one small Pollock

Report:

After blanking on sat morning i decided to head to a local spot to try my luck. i hate blanking so i had to get out and get it sorted! Had no fresh bait so had to make do with frozen bait.

landed down and it was starting to get dark and it was a lovely evening and was on my own. i see Drew has a report up for the prev evening lol pity i hadnt of went the evening before!

pretty quiet for the first hour with a few bites to keep me interested. then i noticed torches on the golf course above, loads of them shinning onto the water :x :x not amused i thought it was bloody walkers! it in fact turned out to be the search and rescue folks, loads of them so hopefully no one was hurt or they found what they were looking for.

ended up catching a double of a small flounder and small pollock to beat the blank. was a nice evening and good to beat the blank.
