Abu Fixed Spool

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Abu Fixed Spool

#1 Post by DaleB91 »

I got a new Abu Garcia reel at xmas from the father, brought me into the shop and I picked it out, 90euro so not bad, but now im wondering, will my Abu Garcia rod and reel hold up against a Tope or something nice and big. The rod is from the stigma model and i cant remember the model the reels from but i wanna know will a fixed spool be enough for bigger fish or should it be left for makeral and bass fishing?

Fixed spool reels are able to handle bigger fish too, if you had the reel size and Model it would help people give you a better answer
