Duration:6.30-10pm

Tide:dropping

Weather:flat calm, rising to a south east ripple

Bait:anything we could scrap off the bottom of the freezer

Rigs:pulley, flapper

Results:me 6 dogs 1 thornie, mick 7 dogs

Report: got set up in daylight for a relaxing session and started chucking bait into the deep water but noyhing but dogs until, at home time I had that tell tale thornie nod and landed this youngster at 3lb 5oz.

nice ray - great to see you getting them.

i'll not ask about the specific mark but when you say deep water, how deep are you talking?

also do you put it down to the deeper water for catching them at this time of year?

i fished fahan alot last year in jan/feb/march to see if they hung about and i found that i caught some bigger females but no where near as many rays as in the warmer months.
