any one ever get a smaller flat than this 14/03/11

#1 Post by saving private brian »

hey lads im not going to do the normal report.went out just before dusk to see if the trout were around.didnt see one at all due to the weed i think.me gear wasnt fishing well at all.the weed pulled it here and there.there was a nice surf though,,,,,,brought some ,mackerel, lugs, sandeels, squid and whitebait.just fished two rods with a flapper and a 3/0 pulley.one far and one short.cold enough to be honest with a S/E wind.just picked up a few small flats and tiny coalies.took picture of the small flat and largest one.,,,,,,,,,enjoyed it but the fish were poor enough quality...........

if you have got a smaller flat than mine please add a picture to this report

I had one last month about the same size. I had a photo but i gave the camera to my missus for a night out and it came back with all the photo deleted. Fishy 1987 was with me the night i caught the flat though so he can be my witness. It was about the length of the palm of my hand and caught on a 5/0 pennel. He was lip hooked by the pennel hook and the bottom hook was hanging below him he was so small.
