People:People:Myself and Alexey

Tide:HT @ 20.00

Weather:Windless

Bait:Rag & razor tip

Rigs:3 hook flapper

Results:1 x Flattie 41cm PB  !!! 1 x Rockling 25cm

Report:Decided that as its me Birthday, I'm goin Fishing :D Tide, wind, moon phase whatever, didn't really care! was goin to fish anyway. Had my eye on this mark for a while thanks to the osi maps. those maps really are a gift. And wanted to bring my new spinning rod out for a test drive.(cheers BTW Andrew, it's sweet!)

As dusk began to fall, Alexey arrived. And I noticed a steady nod on my rod tip, I started to reel it in and could feel a fish on, delighted with myself :D , and grinning like a goon, I brought him in slow as I could to relish every second! (Blanked my last three sessions  I needed this!) I initially thought it was a plaice as it had alot of orange markings on him, But looking at the pics now, I think he may be a flounder??? He gave me a good scrap! and made a horizontal run up the beach!! I'm sure someone will help me out here, It'd be super if it was a plaice! but I think the orange dots need to be more distinct?? The spine was smooth when rubbed tail to head?
Anyway I was really happy with him. Good size flattie! After a another while, Alexey's rod tip bell began to dingaling, great device for fishing in the dark, must pick one up. He reeled in a good rockling, looked like he'd just gorged himself! Alexey thought it was pregnant!! Called it a night @ 20.00, Happy with my PB flattie.
