hi lads. I'm looking at getting a flattie / bass rod. has any one got or used the shimano nexave{ i think that's the name} 11ft.6.?. i saw one at the show and it was a nice light weight rod. Or is there a flattie rod you would recommend. thanks .

shakespeare salt bass rods are nice little rods and good value too.

thanks for the replies lads. that's a good review macka 1 cheers. the Ian gold rods are hard to beat. Ive looked at the salt rods Brian and they do look good too. some many rods... decisions decisions...

The enticer is good but the best bass/flattie rod I had was the MTI bass, wish I had not sold it now :cry:

Grauvell have the best flattie rods in my opinion, with a wide range in prices.
Tobe honest i wouldnt buy a flattie rod any shorter then 14 ft due to the long traces sometimes needed for flats!

Well dan, im well pleased with my penn 11' 6" bass rod, and their reasonably priced.

hi lads , thanks for the replies. i ended up getting the shamino nexave and i gave it a go the last day. vary happy with it so far but thanks again for the info.
