North Wexford

#1 Post by southaussie »

People:me and kevin

Duration:from about 6:30 till 11:30

Tide:high at about 9 but tide pushing up over us till we finished

Weather:hardcore surfcasting type,

Baitfresh lug, frozen lug, mack, razor, peeler crab

Rigs:flappers, pulleys

Results:flounder and rockling

Report:had set up at the first mark waitn for kevin to finish work and fished for about 45 mins. when Kevin arrived winds strenghtened and it was difficult to stand let alone fish, a quick change of location for a spot that we could have our rods in their stands at least and we sent baits into very decent surf, bite detection was difficult and fishing was slow enough till after a couple of hours rod started to move i let the bite develop and there it went again so up in the hands and upon reeling in i found a nice double of decent size flounders :D :D , fishing was slow enough with very heavy showers and gale force winds but as hardcore surfcasters  we fished on with a nice collection of different rockling and decided to call it at around half 11. no bass or codling turned up where we were but hey we got fish and got out :D sorry for no pics new phone not waterproof so stayed zipped up in its waterproof pouch.

The only ones that turned up, were the lads in the white coats. Lucky to get away before they caught us. L.O.L.
I don't fish to catch fish. I just like using the gear.
If you think I am narky now, you should hear me when I'm in bad humour.
