Thanks.

I was looking at it when Randall the rep for led lenser was in earlier in the week. I liked it, so i said i would take it if i liked the price. They are steep and i'm not sure yet if it was worth it, but its nice to support local businesses and it has the added benefit of being able to go back in and give out to them if it breaks.

Those cheap lights are all well and good but theres no substitute for a quality product.

Either way, it looks like its typical led lenser in that it eats batteries which is less than ideal, but it does give out monstrous amounts of light on full power.

They look excellent value for money... One note though.... The swivel tilt will be the first to go. Had a similar one a couple of years ago and the light was superb, but the hinge went 3rd time out.... real pity. After a few ebay lights I eventually went for a Silva L1 and although the light is the same as some of these ebay lights, the build quality is far superior...

Just my 2c on this one.......been there many times before..... Although, I will keep my eye out for a decent ebay light as the technology is cheap, but the build quality needs to be better.

Have to agree. I'm on my second one , and the hinges are defiantly their Achelies heel , got a lenser 7hr last with ajustable focus and power output. Nice light but not a quality head light.
One of the best led maker is Felix lights, eBay often advertise high output which is not the same as 'out the front lumen power' which is the actual measure of light output .
Reputable makers all feature on http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/forum.php , and in my opinion it is worth investing in a quality light.
