In the past few years we have always had the thread for Macks. I would like to start this just to know if they have arrived and where? On the threads over the last few years the first Macks were caught late January and since the temprature starts to breach double digits maybe the odd ones of macks are starting to appear.
Have you had your first mack of the year!!! Let us know.

Was out on a charter the 'Holly Jo' from Union Hall a couple of weeks ago, one of the lads got a couple of mac mixed in with the herring.

co antrim charter hit into them last weekend half way between there and scotland. (which is only 7 miles off shore). when the boat came in some of the lads were kind enough to give us a few for bait

I caught a bucket full in Balscadden yesterday,,,,then i woke up and had me weetaBIX
