Weather: Lovely Easterly, Good movement in the water, dry, patchy cloud cover

Bait: Lugworm, Ragworm, Mackeral, White Rag and Peeler

Rigs: Loops, 2 Hook Boom Rig, Sheppy Rigs, Pulley

Results:

Dozen Coalfish to 31cm, Pouting, Poor Cod, Pollack, Shore Rocking, 5 Bearded Rockling, and a lone Doggy.

Report:

Well prepared for this one, went to Belfast earlier today and picked up some Mackeral and Crab to go with my worms, also bought a sh*t load of tackle from B.A.C, so I'll be tying like a trooper again this week!...

Anyway, knew I'd be out tonight, Bingham had said he may make it but his knee's been giving his gyp and he couldn't make it down. I gave Martin a shout and he jumped at the chance of a bit of fishing.

So, at 5.30pm I arrived and got 3 Rods set up, the Affinty with its usual loop with long snoods, the Imax setup for dangling with a rig with 2 Avis booms and the other Affinity with a serious Sheppy rig for launching out the back. Sheppy arrived and set up with a loop also.

As soon as the rods were in we were greeted with a steady stream of bites and species. Glad to have the Sheppy out the back as it soon produced a Pouting, a Poor Cod, and a Dogfish for me. 2 new species for the year.

Meanwhile Martin fished in the Middle, he managed a couple of Coalies, a Pollack, a Shorey and a 5 Beard, so 2 new species for him, he was well chuffed!

It didn't really slow down, and we kept picking up the odd Pollack and Coalfish the whole way to the end.

Happy with a session which was well prepared for, can't wait for the next one!

nice one drew thats great fishing for there man . i was down the other day and blanked . but i did get to see the whole commotion with the lifeboats doing a rescue. i'll get a report up tonight.

I think it's really down to the tides there at the minute mate. I was pure pooh during those big tides but I reckon it'll be getting back to Normal now!
