by far the best fishing rod i have used so far. superb for long range but just as comfortable lobbing semi-delicate baits at short and mid range. bite detetection is excellent at all ranges. slim and light too. the only thing i wouldnt favour it for is lobbing maddies. top marks from me.

Buy 2 of them by far the best rod I've ever owned will cover almost everything you could want from a rod. Highly recommend it.

Re: Any Fish Any Where Tournament Match.
I have a pair of AFAWs that I have had since they were first introduced. They have had excessive hard use. There is some wear in both of them but they are by no means loose. There is still about 8mm to go before they are down to the 'finishes' touching. I believe they are a very under-rated rod and I also think many more people would rave about the performance if they had a different decal sticker put on them.JOHN1 wrote:how is the spigot joint holding outlanky wrote:i have been useing the big beach for about 3 years and there all i use now greath rod for distance and close in tidlers

ive been using mine consistantly over the last three and a half years at least twice a week sometimes more and i have no problem with the spigot joint. there is still almost an inch. i am by the way also the happy owner of numerous zziplex and century rods amongst others and they are also exceptional angling tools. however for me the pick of the bunch is definatley my tournament match. highly reccomended.

is that why you covered up the anyfish anywhere decals on your rod with black tape ?? so no one could see what it was ?kstaff wrote:Back in ur box of lemons please Mr Bitter!!! Read the comments by Baitdigger!!

Re: Any Fish Any Where Tournament Match.
the problem i had was i bought a brand new AA big beach about 2 years ago and the joint only had about 4 or 5 mm before it would have ran out of spacekstaff wrote:On guy on another forum mentioned a loose spigot and everyone paniced, my spigots too are fine and there is no issue on these rods.

it would be worth while giving the joint a good look over if anyone is thinking of getting one

i also bought a six and bait at the same time no problem with that

Mine get constant use and I said, If they had a zziplex label on them more people would rave about them, but then again not everyone buys books by their cover, and before you ask yes, I had a lt14 and a dynamic bullet both nice rods but I still prefer my old conoflex to the zippiesAG wrote:yeh but you only use those rods once in a blue moon , what about people who actually use them ? and not just look at them coz they are black and not zziplex ?????kstaff wrote:On guy on another forum mentioned a loose spigot and everyone paniced, my spigots too are fine and there is no issue on these rods.

just personal choice.
