People:Me and codswollop
Duration:A couple of hours on the Sunday evening and a couple of hours on the Monday afternoon.
Tide:Unsure
Weather:Very light breezes, very calm seas, dirty water, cold, dry, slightly clouded.
Bait:Fresh lug.
Rigs:2 hook paternoster with 4/5 oz leads.
Results:Me: 1 flounder, 1 pin whiting. Codswollop: 1 codling, 1 tiny coalfish.
Report:We weren't expecting too many codling or bass considering how flat the sea was. We did however expect more flounder, coalfish and whiting. Disappointing results but a very enjoyable trip. We didn't catch anything on the Sunday evening. All fish came in a flurry between 15:45 and 16:45 on the Monday afternoon. No fish on the Sunday or Monday when darkness fell??!!
