donegal beach mark 23/01/2011

#1 Post by grady »

People:me and my mate

Duration:1pm-5pm

Tide:rising

Weather:suny and calm

Bait:mackerel, squid, lug, peeler

Rigs:flappers

Results:flounder, dabs

Report:decide to try one of donegal beaches in winter as i never realy do,
arrived on the beach around 1pm, low at 2pm set two rods every hook baited with different baits. first couple of hours was very slow rods tips didn't show any movement at all
start thinking that i'v picked a wrong spot may not all beaches producing in winter
only last hour maneged small flounder and dubble shot of dabs
want to stay longer but noticed that i have to back at work very early in the morning  so packed up proppably at the best time of the day  and headed home
