bundoran / sligo 14/jan/11

#1 Post by taz »

time 8-12
bait squid mack lug whitebait, crab, razor
weather mild to gale
tide low at 6
rigs flap
result very wet

myself and ter decided to try a new mark for a change so we headed for bundoran weather was calm but wind was slowly picking up got set up and casted out only to chased up the beach by a mad surge got soaked up to my knees after 30 min of running back and forth we decided to knock it on the head the wind was picking up nicely by this stage . got to sligo harbour and spent a hour fishing with no bites . decided to try another spot near enniscrone but the wind was full on at that stage so we knocked it on the head and scouted out a couple of new spots .

unlucky lads :( but fair play for giving a new mark a go. we did the same last night and got the same results    . it can be really hard to try somewhere new when you know other spots are fishing well. but then again, that's how we found a few hidden gems in the past

yeah the 14th was very windy on the north coast beach, my stand fell over a few times, even with the extra weight of a bucket of bait weighing it down.
