Kish Light House

Hi

I will be fishing this weekend close to Kish Lighthouse.
I don't want to embarrass myself too much on my first competition so any hints/advise would be greatly appreciated.

Its a two rod competition so I was going to use mackerel & lug with one rod & jig with feathers on the other.

What species would be common out there?

You will definitely get doggies out there, you also have the chance to catch tope, bullhuss and ray, dabs to small hooks also, gurnard is possible, maybe pollock and wrasse tight to the base of the lighthouse itself. Plenty of mackerel.

Mackerel & lug is fine, bring some rag if you have it.

Squid is working well there right now. Take a few big leads as well. The runs can be huge.
