first trip 2011

Crew:me tony & tony tait dusty
Duration:8.30till 4.30
Tide:low right up
Weather:overcast cool
Bait:squid ,mac,razor
Rigs:everything
Results:ling .cod,whiting, haddock,poorcod,grey gurnard
well we planned a day wreck fishing ats hort notice wx conditions we looking good set of from home at 5.15 am arrived lower aghada for 7.30 new road great .tony tait arrived around 8.15 we had all our gear loaded ready to launch we steamed out of the harbour 28 knots but met a snotty sea slowed back to 16 knots and made our way to the first wreck tony had lined up.We set the drift picked up few small ling to 4 lb we moved again wreck 2 drift set tony hooked into a better fish of 8 lb i had 2 under 5 lb few more drifts we moved again. third wreck we changed tactics tony was into a better fish i was ready with the gaff good ling came on board we moved back over again tony had weighed the ling just under 11 lbs nice fish ipicked up a few smaller ones
we moved to the last wreck conditions had got better first drop i got a decent bang steady reeling produced a fine cod 10 lb 4 tony had another ling to 6 lb we picked up 20 fish on the wrecks we then moved inside were we had a good few decent whiting and haddock along with pouting and poorcod moved around abit picked up a small grey gurnard it was a nice start to the season plenty of fresh fillets for the freezer

2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
