Bunagee pier culdaff 02/01/11

People:myself and the nephew Dylan

Duration:4.30-8.30

Tide:dropping

Weather:calm but very cold

Bait:mack

Rigs:pullys and flappers

Results:me 5 coalies and 2 flounder.....Dylan = blanked




Report:Headed down to bunagee this evening after Husshunter said he might be about but there was no sign of him ,gave Dylan a ring and his dad dropped him down.
I had a rod out at distance and one about 30yards out.
Dylan had a rod out and a conger rod down
A few coalies banging away at the bait but few hook-ups the rod out at distance got an almighty bang and almost came out of the tripod I thought it was a big doggie but it was a flounder of 30cm the short rod was picking up coalies now and again but no size to them 20-25cms.
Dylan had a couple of runs on the conger rod but no hook-ups and nothing on the other rod.
We packed up about 8.30 and headed for home

Sorry i couldnt make my jeep has been giving me problems since the thaw,wont disengague 4wd very bad on hard surfaces,had to drive back to galway today at 35mph,left at 10.30 home now at 7,nice session though shame i missed it maybe another time.
