Assume you are talking about a place called the White harbour (imaginative, I know )? If it is where I am thinking, then there is a jetty from an oil terminal beside it.

Used to fish there, small Pollack, Coalies, Codling and Dogfish. Ground is quite rough with weed anywhere inside casting range from memory.

As I said, its been a while since I have fished it but why not give it a go and see how you get on?

The only thing to add is that I think the lane down to it is privately owned so might not be a bad idea to check at one of the houses that they don't mind you parking there.

Lee.
Even a bad days fishing is better than working.

Lee is right about the white harbour. Fished the carrickfergus side and got cod and doggies. Ground is fairly rough, but rotten bottom rigs work ok.
The guy that owns the harbour drives a landrover with a large angle iron framework bolted on it. You can't miss it!
I can't remember his name, but he's approachable enough to ask.

aye i found it,down quay lane. we took a walk down it and walked right up at the side of the oil terminal but its too rocky for my liking,a place where youll land up losing a lot of your tackle and its a quite a fair trek too,not sure what fishing the harbour is like though?? anyone got any comments on it?
we actually landed up driving upto glenarm and did a spot of fishing off the rocks there, quite a good place for the first time of fishing there, but tends to get a bit weedy with the downflow coming from the river, got chatting to a man there who had fished there the previous night and he said he had caught a fair amount of sea trout......
will be heading back there sometime next week but thinking of trying the pier at carrick this weekend, see what happens.
