I have 2 Ian gold's G-8000-Surf fixed spool reels.
Over the years I've used lots of reels but these Ian gold's reels are the best I've ever used and great value for money when compared with the equivalent daiwa or shimano.

Daiwa Opus Bull been very reliable but on the down side its fairly heavy an on the bulky side but well able for big fish, prices vary from about 90e to 115e but whatever reel you go for shop around you'd be surprised how much they vary.
