Unsung Heroes
For all the obvious handy things we anglers pick up there are those we take for granted. 3 items I would never be without afloat or ashore when bait fishing are:
1. Fine Bait Elastic. (We go through miles of this stuff).
2. Gemini disgorger (fantastic for deeply hooked fish).
3. Mustad Bait Scissors... (so brilliant at cutting, bait, trimming fish, cutting mono & braid. Tough as old boots).
Anyone got any other unsung heroes they'd like to share.

Re: Unsung Heroes
I agree the greatest unsung hero's of them all are the rescue services. I have the greatest respect for the RNLI & the work they do. The idea though of this thread was a light hearted look into our tackle boxes for newbies etc to those essential but little mention bits of kit for our fishing sessions

1. Fags and lighters (2).
2. Flask.
3. Mobile phone
4. Hand warmers.
The one thing that every angler needs and that a lot of us take for granted, which makes it the most important unsung hero of them all.

I don't fish to catch fish. I just like using the gear.
