Hi lads. Im new to this site and this is my first post. Also new to sea fishing as well. I bought a Penn Powerstix Pro Bass rod 11'6 and im wondering what fixed reel would be best on it. My casting would be fairly basic at the moment. I will use it for light beach/ estuary fishing. I have a reel that is nearly knackered on it and Im hoping santy will bring me a new one. Santy has about 80-100 to spend.
great site and has been a huge help to me
thanks
What fixed reel for Penn powerstix bass rod??

you will get a great reel for that cash...most here would recommend Shimano, so do a bit of research and ask around (have a look at rear drag for lure fishing!) make sure the reel can stand up to saltwater...think the reel is much more prone to 'dunkin!' when lure fishing

it depends on what fishing you do lure or bait ?or maybe a bit of both?fixed spools come in so many sizes and different qualitys get a list of your top 5 picks and stick them up on here i,m sure you will get some lads who have the reels that will give you their opinion
